Web Applications refer to programs that use web tools (browsers and technology) to solve various internet problems.

Gone are those days where communication is through letters and often takes several days. Nowadays, individuals and businesses use the internet as a tool of communication that is easier and cost-effective. Web Applications are coded in machine language (JavaScript and HTML) and use a web browser to execute instructions. There are two significant web applications: dynamic applications that need processing through server-side and those that do not require processing.

The web browser includes a web server required to manage messages from the users, while an application server is applicable for tasks’ completion. On the other hand, a database stores information. Examples of Application servers are ASP, PHP, JSP, ASP.NET, and ColdFusion.

Web Applications is written in machine languages that include CSS (Cascading Style Sheet), JavaScript, and HTML5. The HTML passes instruction on the information displayed on a web page, while the CSS ensures the correct format. Meanwhile, JavaScript seems to assist in an ongoing interaction.

In the simplest form, it involves a user sending a request using the internet either through a web server or application. The server transmits to the right source. In the case of tasks, a web application performs them and sends results to the server to transmit to the user.
